Mrs. Gibbs

Hello! My name is Chelby Hinds, soon to be Chelby Gibbs. This is my first full year teaching at College Lane Elementary. I graduated from Sul Ross State University in 2018 with a Bachelor’s in Natural Resource Management and 2019 with a Master’s in Wildlife Management. I am currently working on my Alternative License and plan on pursuing my Master’s in Administration Education after I finish.

I was born and raised in Hobbs, went to school at College Lane, and graduated from Hobbs High. I am marrying my best friend of 10 years in October. I have several fur babies, which include dogs, cats, and horses. I love being outdoors and have a very adventurous side to me. I am a BIG fan of roller coasters and theme parks, and I love to go to the mountains. I also love to ride horses, go camping, and spend time with family.

I am excited to be part of the Hobbs Municipal School’s family, and truly believe God has placed me here for a reason! My goal is to make sure every student feels safe and comfortable in my classroom, while teaching them to the best of my ability. I want every student to know that they can do anything they set their mind to and can fly high in life if they work hard. I am hoping I can have a positive impact on each one of my student’s life, and help them achieve their dreams!
